SALTA Newsletter SALTA is soliciting submissions for the upcoming spring 2013 newsletter. In addition to current issues and developments in the teaching of South Asian Languages, submissions may include information regarding relevant upcoming programs, events, workshops and conferences. Please forward inquiries and/or submissions to Rajni Bhargava at rb154@nyu.edu. The SALTA Newsletter is an important forum to facilitate exchange amongst our members and to keep us appraised of latest happenings in South Asian language pedagogy beyond our immediate specialization. SALTA represents the teaching of all South Asian languages and the SALTA Newsletter aims to reflect this wider horizon. CALL FOR PAPERS - European Social Science History Conference, Vienna, 23-26 April 2014. The Asia Network of the European Social Science History Conference invites proposals for papers and panel sessions on Asian countries. The Conference welcomes proposals on any topic and any historical period. Thematic panel sessions that compare various Asian countries are particularly encouraged.
